"Join our incredible 12-day trip to the monasteries of Tibet and Shangri-La! This trip will take you to two of the most fascinating and magical regions of the world.

Travel to Tibet, the dream trip and Shangri la, which offers all travelers to know the great attractions of the city Lhasa and Kathmandu. On arrival we will take out the Chinese visa, along with permission to travel to Tibet. The trip starts with a one hour direct flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, we visit the Potala Palace of the Dalai Lama, the sacred temple of Jokhang or Barkhor market, Sera monastery with debate courtyard, Drepung monasteries, Norbulingka, Samye monastery and Yumbulakhang in Tsetang, Tashilhunpo in Shigatse and Khumbun Stupa in Gyantse. Then complete the trip from Nepal back to Kathmandu for an extension to Pokhara and Chitwan to complete the vacation in Nepal or to central China.

Days Itinerary

01:MONDAY: Arrival in Kathmandu
Early arrival in Kathmandu, flight to the Himalayan kingdom, Nepal reveals breathtaking views of the great peaks Mt Dorje Lakpa, Mt Ganesha, Mt Purbi Chhyachu, Mt Langtang, etc., (weather permitting). 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu:
Swoyambhunath, Kathmandu, Patan or Lalitpur (Optional: optional aerial tour over Everest).
Breakfast, Full day dedicated to visit the most outstanding monuments of the Nepalese capital. We start the visit at the Palace of the Kumari (living goddess) and the Durbar Square of Kathmandu (World Heritage Site) where there are also the palaces of the kings Malla and Shah, who ruled over the city. Along with these palaces, the square is surrounded by courtyards and temples. Today the place is known as Hanuman Dhoka, a name derived from the statue near the entrance of the palace.

04: Flight, Kathmandu - Lhasa (3650m) - Tsetang (3400 m): 90 km: 2 Hrs:
Breakfast, transfer to Kathmandu airport for flight to Lhasa, Arrival, Welcome and transfer to Tsetang, 2 ½ hrs. Along the banks of the Brahmaputra River, total rest in the afternoon for acclimatization. Overnight.

05: Visit: Yumbulakhang and Trandruk:
Breakfast, Morning depart to Yumbulakhang Monastery fort, its Mt 11 tower, situated on a jagged ridge fluttering with prayer flags, is a great vantage point overlooking the green Yarlung valley, the Yumbu Lakhang is famous for being the first Tibetan palace. It was built for the first king of Tibet "Nyatri Tsenpo" 2nd century BC and has since become a palace for Tibetan kings. 09: Visit in Lhasa: Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Market and Sera Monastery:
We visit the famous geometric temple/monastery of Jokhang "World Heritage Site" built in 642 by King Songtsen Gampo, it is located in the heart of Lhasa, it is the most sacred and considered the powerful place in Tibet where we will meet the impressive chapels, altars and decorated rooms. The main hall of the temple houses the statue of Jowo, statues of King Songtsen Gambo, as well as his two wives, Bhrikuti and Wencheng, the Nepalese and Chinese wives who were brought as dowry numerous Buddhist images that were installed in this four-storey temple, with roofs covered with gilded bronze tiles. 10: Visit in Lhasa: Potala Palace, Drepung Monastery:
