TENTATIVE TRAVEL ITINERARY
Golden Triangle - Destinations Covered: Delhi - Jaipur - Agra - Delhi.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN DELHI
Arrival, assistance at the airport and transfer to hotel in Delhi. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 2: DELHI
Breakfast. We will begin our first visit to the Qutab Minaret, a monument built in 1193, and the first place where the first Muslim kingdom was established. It is a rich city, with ceremonious gardens, the magnificent Parliament Building and the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of the President of India. We then visit the India Gate, originally called the Memorial of All Indian Wars. The Bangla Sabih Sikh Temple, where we will observe the fervor with which members of the Brotherhood listen to the reading of the Book; Next, we visit the 300-year-old Chandni Chowk Market, which is a maze of narrow streets filled with stores selling an extraordinary variety of utensils; food, noise and crowds are an essential part of any Indian market. We stroll through its winding streets on the Rick Shaw cycle. From here we continue to the Jama Masjid or Friday Mosque. This is the largest mosque in India designed by Shah Jahan. Then we walk through the Red Fort, built in the mid 17th century, also by Shah Jahan, which was sacked by Nadir Shah's army and later by British soldiers. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 3: DELHI - AGRA (210 KMS/04 HOURS APPROX)
Breakfast. Morning visit to the Akshardham Temple (closed on Mondays) a true work of art built very recently thanks to the donations of thousands of wealthy Hindus. It is a place that summarizes 10 thousand years of culture, with all its grandeur, beauty, hope and blessings. Then departure by road to Agra (Approx. 210kms, 4 hours), an ancient city as mentioned in the great epic 'Mahabharata' and was the center of attention during the reign of the Mughals. It is famous for being home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is a monument of such incredible elegance that it is considered synonymous with beauty in itself. Transfer to Hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 4: AGRA
Breakfast. Morning visit to the Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays), the most fascinating and beautiful monument in India. The Taj Mahal was completed in 1653 AD by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his favorite queen, Mumtaz Mahal. This perfectly symmetrical monument took 22 years of hard labor and 20,000 workers, masons and jewelers to build and is set amidst landscaped gardens. We will also visit the Red Fort of Agra, an imposing fortress on the banks of the Yamuna River, built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565 A.D. Afternoon free for personal activities. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 5: AGRA - ABHANERI - JAIPUR (240 KMS/05 HOURS APPROX)
Breakfast. Morning departure by road to Jaipur (approx. 240kms, 5-6 hours), visiting en route Abhaneri, known for the imposing Baoris Temple (built subway) and the Harshat Mata Temple. Continue by road to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, also known as "The Pink City" painted in terracotta pink in 1876 to welcome Prince Albert. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 6: JAIPUR
Breakfast. Morning visit to Amber Fort where we will go up by elephant (subject to availability). Amber Fort is a fascinating blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. In the afternoon visit the City Palace. Pass by Hawa Mahal or the Palace of the Winds - the five-story facade of 593 finely latticed windows, an emblem of the city of Jaipur. Also visit the Jantar Mantar or the Astronomical Observatory. This is the largest and best preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in different parts of the country. Explore the exotic 'bazaars' of Jaipur to discover the artistic richness of the region. In the evening, visit the Birla Temple to see the nightly ritual of religious worship called the Aarti ceremony. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 7: JAIPUR - DELHI (260 KMS/06 HOURS APPROX) - DEPARTURE
Breakfast. Morning departure by road to Delhi (260kms, 6 hours approx.) Upon arrival transfer to the airport for your flight to your next destination.

● Akshardham Temple is closed on Mondays.
● Officially from June 9, 2019, visitors will now have only three hours to complete their tour of Taj Mahal, from the time of entry to exit. Taj Mahal now has 14 entrance gates, seven each on its western and eastern side, as well as 10 gates, five for each exit, that have been installed. The three-hour time limit begins after passing the ticket barrier and the security check begins after that. If a tourist stays inside the complex for more than three hours, a fine of INR 600 per person is payable. Rules and regulations are subject to change at any time.
